I hired Petra in the fall of 2006 for the construction of a green built, 156 unit, and 150,000 square foot facility. Colson and Colson is an out of town owner and general contractor that builds 25 to 30 projects all over the United States. For this reason, we rely heavily on certain local contractors to know codes and procedures in their jurisdiction.

Knute, as the owner of Petra, did a professional job and went above and beyond the scope of his contract with changes that were on the horizon. Change orders were limited to only major items not in the plans and we never had a scheduling conflict.

Knute’s intelligence in estimating and excavation is among the best I have seen. He has the commitment and energy necessary to see complex projects through to completion, guiding teams and customers through the entire process, on time and within budget. He also is willing to explore the best option to save the customer as much money as possible. I wanted to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for an outstanding job provided by Knute of Petra Company during a recent service call to our home.  From the very beginning my conversations with Knute lead me to believe that his company was concerned first with the nature of my service call, secondly with the responsibility of costs.

To that end Knute took full and immediate responsibility to investigate and resolve the problems we were experiencing with our sewer line.  I have purchased over 7 homes with varied experiences with subcontractors on service calls, none which demonstrated such integrity….The selection of a subcontractor based merely on “Low-bid” usually provides a “low-bidder attitude” and rarely provides this type of detail.  If the Petra Company approached this matter in any other manner, (especially considering the distance they traveled) the savings of a “low-bid” would surely have cost your company in administration costs to mitigate the problem.  It is refreshing to see a subcontractor who holds their company to such a high standard and your choice as a developer to invest with them.
